Grain/shot blasting, commonly known as sandblasting, is an old method for cleaning rusty, oxidized, painted, crusted and other dirty surfaces. Nowadays, blasting is often also used for surface finishing, matting, roughening or, for example, removing machining burrs and strengthening the surface (shot blasting).

For decades, Blastjet has applied this old method in the blast cabinets it manufactures, and through product development, has added its own innovations to the cabinet features.
